Packaging machinery manufacturer TAB Industries, LLC (Reading, PA) has unveiled their largest Wrapper Tornado orbital stretch-wrapping machine. Custom-designed and manufactured at their headquarters, the record-setting machine features a wrapping ring that spans 115 in diameter to wrap palletized loads as large as 8 ft tall by 50 in wide.
This line of orbital wrappers secures a palletized load to its pallet as a single unit by wrapping the plastic film 360 deg under and around the entire load for improved protection, safety and stability during storage and transport. The 115 in model was developed to unitize insulated foam refrigeration panels that approach 8 ft in height when stacked and palletized for shipping. Eliminating the need for large crates, banding and other containers and fasteners, it encases the panels and the pallet in protective, plastic film while the load is raised on a forklift and/or when set on a gravity roller conveyor to minimize handling, staging and movement during packaging and warehousing.

Though the custom Wrapper Tornado shown in the photo stands more than 11 ft tall, the company delivered the wrapping machine fully assembled and ready to plug in and operate. In addition to offering custom models, they also offer a choice of three standard models that accommodate 60 in x 60 in, 48 in x 48 in and 24 in x 24 in pallets. Standard and custom models include a one-year warranty.
