Plug-n-Play Cartridge Dust Collector Cleans Air When Welding, Plasma & Laser Cutting

The high performance DustHog PNP cartridge dust collector from ClarCor reduces installation and service time while collecting dust and fumes to save energy and operating costs.

Posted: July 1, 2016

The touchscreen controller on the DustHog Plug-n-Play cartridge dust collector simplifies operation and maintenance, plus the Auto Flow option measures airflow and automatically adjusts the fan speed to maintain a specified target airflow as the process or filter pressure drop changes. The PNP is powered with the ProTura DH nanofiber filter media that is highly efficient (MERV 15) and capable of capturing respirable, submicron particulate. These filters feature surface loading technology which reduces compressed air consumption during filter cleaning therefore extending filter life, a benefit shops won’t find with others filters.

ClarCor Industrial Air, Inc. (Overland Park, KS) launches the DustHog Plug-n-Play (PNP) cartridge dust collector that provides a convenient, clean air solution for numerous manufacturing processes, including welding, robotic weld cells, plasma and laser cutting, stone, bulk powders and more.

Having the right solution for a shop’s specific application and dust collection challenge is critical. The PNP delivers a complete combination of high performance dust and fume collection in a convenient package that reduces installation and service time while saving energy and operational costs:

  • Easy to install and service.
  • Integrated touchscreen controller provides effortless operation and maintenance
  • Save significant energy costs and optimize system performance with the PNP technology.
  • Features new ProTura® DH nanofiber filter media offering high efficiency and extended filter life.

“Shops are genuinely excited about the latest technology we have incorporated into the PNP. The touchscreen controller that simplifies operation and maintenance plus the Auto Flow option, which measures airflow and automatically adjusts the fan speed to maintain a specified target airflow as the process or filter pressure drop changes,” stated Mark Gerken, the vice president of engineering with ClarCor.

The PNP is powered with the new ProTura DH nanofiber filter media which is highly efficient (MERV 15) and capable of capturing respirable, submicron particulate. These filters feature surface loading technology which reduces compressed air consumption during filter cleaning therefore extending filter life, a benefit shops won’t find with others filters.

ClarCor designs, tests and manufactures industrial air filters engineered for use in heavy industry applications such as manufacturing and metal production for in-process dust collection and air pollution control.
