Fives Opens Birmingham Global Service Center

The network of Global Service centers for Fives Machining Systems, Inc. (Hebron, KY), has expanded with the opening of a new service center in Birmingham, AL. This location joins five other North American service centers as they expand to meet the needs of their customers nationwide. The new center will house Global Service from the Fives Metal Cutting/Composites business line that includes Cincinnati, Giddings & Lewis, Forest-Liné, and Liné Machines range of products. They will stock spare parts, repair unit assemblies, and dispatch service engineers for customers in the region. John D’Amato will serve as the director of the service center.

The company’s network of service facilities is strategically located near customers where the technician teams can quickly provide maintenance services to help customers reduce the mean-time to repair, increase equipment reliability, and extend the lifecycle of their machines. They now have North American Services centers in Seattle, WA; Valencia, CA; Cambridge, ON, Canada; Hebron and Fond du Lac, WI.

North American Total Care from the Combustion business line of machines and DyAG engineering services from the Automation business line will also occupy the new center in Birmingham.
