Fronius Names New Head of Perfect Welding Division
In his new role, Harald Scherleitner is tasked with expanding their global position.

Harald Scherleitner is the new head of the Perfect Welding Division of Fronius International GmbH (Pettenbach, Austria). He is taking up the position vacated by Wolfgang Lattner, who plans to retire in 2017 after 41 years with the company.
The division is gaining a leader with a familiar face. Scherleitner has been a long time member of their team, spending the last eight years as the head of the Perfect Charging Division. He began his career as an area sales manager for welding technology, covering Europe and Latin America. It was in this role that he oversaw the establishment of Fronius Mexico and Fronius Brazil.
The future of the division is safe in the hands of a man who knows the industry and company inside out and who has set himself a clear aim. “I want to continue to expand our global position. Customers and their needs have to be at the heart of everything we do. Every activity and development we make has one primary goal: to save our customers money,” said Scherleitner.
His successor at the Perfect Charging Division, Patrick Gojer, was formerly the head of Fronius United Kingdom.
Fronius International is headquartered in Pettenbach and other sites in Wels, Thalheim, Steinhaus and Sattledt. With 3,723 employees worldwide, they are active in the fields of welding technology, photovoltaics and battery charging technology. Around 90 percent of their products are exported through 24 international subsidiaries and sales partners/representatives in over 60 countries. With their innovative products and services and 838 granted patents, they are a global innovation leader.
