Lincoln Electric Promotes Three Executives

Doug Lance, Ed Crouse, and Dalithia C. Smith all assume new roles.

He is responsible for the Cleveland and Torreon (Mexico) operations, product development and management, and supply chain activities.

He is responsible for overseeing manufacturing and operational support activities across the company’s Northeast Ohio facilities.
Dalithia C. Smith, Lincoln Electric
She is now responsible for overseeing human resource functions across the Americas Welding segment.

The Lincoln Electric Company (Cleveland, OH), a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc., has announced the promotion of Douglas S. Lance to the president of Cleveland operations, Edward M. Crouse to the vice president of Cleveland operations, and Dalithia C. Smith to the vice president of human resources.

Blankenship, the executive vice president and the president of Americas Welding. “Each is a strong asset and a well-respected leader with a track record of solid results and innovation in their respective areas. I am looking forward to working with them in their new roles to achieve our ‘2020 Vision and Strategy’.”

Lance reports to Blankenship in his new position and is responsible for the Cleveland and Torreon (Mexico) operations, product development and management, and supply chain activities. He joined the company in 1990 as an engineering trainee and has served in a number of engineering and management roles with increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as the senior vice president of North American operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo and has completed the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management program, as well as an International Business Development program at Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Crouse has assumed the role of the vice president of Cleveland Operations and oversees manufacturing and operational support activities across the company’s northeast Ohio facilities. He joined Lincoln Electric in 1986 as an engineering trainee and has held numerous positions in research and development, manufacturing and production planning over his 30 years with the company. Most recently, he served as the general manager of consumables. Crouse holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Cleveland State University.

As the vice president of human resources, Smith is responsible for overseeing human resource functions across the Americas Welding segment. She joined the company in 2007 as the director of recruiting and talent and most recently served as the director of North America human resources. Smith earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in marketing from Ohio University and an MBA from Cleveland State University.
