Present at the announcement of the equipment sale (l-r): Tom Worley, saws and end machining sales for BLM Group; James Brown, a sales executive for Tube Fabrication Industries; Julie Ellis, the president of Tube Fabrication Industries; and Andrew Dodd, a regional sales manager for BLM Group.

BLM Group USA (Wixom, MI), a global leader in the manufacture of tube and flat sheet processing equipment, recently sold a BC80 CNC end-machining center and a CM602 automatic CNC sawing machine to Tube Fabrication Industries, Inc. (Logansport, IN), a leader in the fabrication of precision aluminum and carbon steel tubing/tubular components for automotive anti-vibration devices (NVH Control). The sale was announced by Dr. Jeffrey Ahrstrom, the president and chief operating officer of BLM Group.

The BC80 is a highly productive and completely automated CNC end-machining center that is ideal for cut-to-length, chamfering, facing and part measurement for round-the-clock production of bushings. The bundle loader is available in lengths up to 40 ft and the unit provides in-process part measurement and 100 percent part-length inspection with detailed SPC reporting.

The CM602 automatic CNC sawing machine is ideal for cutting short and medium length steel, copper, brass and aluminum tubes, solid bars and profiles. The cutting head is positioned at 45 deg to the tube surface and its linear movement across the tube provides a uniform load on the blade resulting in less noise, less scrap and longer blade life. This system can handle tube and bar up to 4 in diameter depending on material, and runs at up to 5,000 rpm cutting speed.

“We bring a unique set of strengths and benefits that provide our customers with exactly what they require, when they require it, at fair and competitive prices,” noted Julie Ellis, the president of Tube Fabrication Industries. “That strength includes the equipment we buy and in particular this equipment with leading-edge technology.”
