Engineered Material Handling (EMH; Valley City, OH) recently introduced their new Model LS Load-Stabilized Hoist for transporting loads quickly, securely and safely. With a unique and robust rope tensioning design and reeving configuration, load swing is dramatically reduced, even during quick starts and stops. The EMH Model LS is ideal for steel coil and mesh handling, container trading, bucket or grab applications, and for precise positioning.
This hoist is available in two versions: a Single Girder Side-Mounted Hoist with capacities up to 12.5 tons and a Double-Girder Hoist with capacities up to 25 tons. Each hoist is equipped with three or six separate load ropes, with each individual load rope able to keep the load securely and safely in position because of a special operating angle. Options include weighted weighing devices, rotation capabilities, a power supply for magnetic systems or for grabbers, overload protection, load indication, outdoor operation additions, lighting, and much more.
Specific application examples for the Model LS include bucket or grab crane applications, either single or twin-hoist magnetic system applications, combination magnetic and clamp system applications, as well as coil and structural steel mesh handling for the steel industry.
EMH is ISO 9001:2015 certified and designs, sells and manufactures a complete line of overhead material handling equipment solutions for loads from 25 lb to 300 tons, serving a variety of industries with Bridge Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Jib Cranes, Self-Standing Cranes, Workstation Cranes, and Crane Kits, plus custom and standard Wire Rope Hoists and End Trucks.
