Booth 3019: The mobile, fast, intuitive and user-friendly MarSurf PS 10 Roughness Measuring Unit from Mahr Federal is an economical and practical roughness measuring unit that has a smartphone-like 4.3 in TFT touch screen display and measures 31 roughness parameters for laboratory-level performance on the shop floor.

In Booth 3019, Mahr Federal Inc. (Providence, RI) will showcase three key products from their broad line of dimensional metrology and gaging products: the popular MarSurf® PS 10 Roughness Measuring Unit, the MarShaft™ SCOPE 250 plus, and their extensive wireless data transmission capability. The MarSurf PS 10 is an economical and practical roughness measuring unit for mobile use. Using a smartphone-like 4.3 in TFT touch screen display, operation is fast, intuitive and user-friendly. The new generation design measures 31 roughness parameters, offers a convenient list of “favorite” functions in the display, and provides laboratory-level performance on the shop floor.

The MarShaft SCOPE 250 plus is a recent addition to Mahr’s growing family of optical shaft measurement systems. Competitively priced and designed to provide fast, accurate, fully automatic measurement of smaller shafts and turned parts directly on the shop floor, it features a highly accurate matrix camera with four million pixels. The system measures parts up to 250 mm long and 40 mm diameter, with an accuracy that is previously unknown in this market segment. An MPE (Maximum Permissible Error) of less than 1.5 microns + L/40 when measuring diameter, and an even more impressive 3 microns + L/125 when measuring length is significantly more accurate than other systems using line cameras.

Mahr Federal’s broad line of mechanical comparative gages can now be configured for wireless data transmission with the addition of a MarCator 1086 or 1087 wireless digital indicator. Portable and benchtop mechanical gages are key assets wherever fast and accurate part inspection is required and these mechanical comparative gages have been mainstays in machine shops and high production facilities for more than a century. The line includes a wide array of snap gages, ID and OD gages, fixed and adjustable bore gages, as well as depth and comparator stands. The addition of wireless digital indicators makes these gages faster and more productive than ever before, speeding part inspection, reducing the complexity of data collection, and improving the quality control process.
