TM Robotics Strengthens U.S. Network

They welcome two new distributors to their North American network: Werner Electric and manufacturer’s representative Futura Automation.

Werner Electric and Futura Automation have undergone extensive training to be fully knowledgeable of the technology behind TM Robotics’ range of Toshiba Machine robots, which includes Cartesian, 6-axis and SCARA robots.

Industrial robot specialist TM Robotics (Americas) Inc. (Elk Grove Village, IL), has welcomed two new distributors to their North American network: Werner Electric (Cottage Grove, MN), Minnesota’s leading electrical industry distributor, and Futura Automation, LLC (Scottsdale, AZ) a manufacturer’s representative that services the West Coast, Desert and Mountain States.

As part of the induction process, both companies have undergone an extensive training program, held at TM Robotics’ American office in Elk Grove Village, that ensures that companies in the distributor network are fully knowledgeable of the technology behind TM Robotics’ range of Toshiba Machine robots. TM Robotics provides Cartesian, 6-axis and SCARA robots through this extensive network.

This training scheme provides distributors with a basic understanding of the operation of the internal programmable logic controller (PLC) that is implemented into all Toshiba Machine SCARA and 6-axis robots. The training also informs distributors of the key features of the controller, its software and provides guidance on how to program the robot, so that the distributor can demonstrate this to its customers.

Distributors in this network are also given sales training. The guidance prepares the distributor to highlight the benefits of Toshiba Machine robots to potential customers, with transparent evidence of how the machines compare to competitors in the robotics and automation market. The TM Robotics network enables them to sell and service robots in Europe, Australia, the Middle East, India, Russia, Africa, as well as North, Central and South America. The company’s American headquarters are in Illinois and their European headquarters is in Hertfordshire, England.

“According to the Annual Manufacturing Report, 76 percent of manufacturers expect flexibility and responsiveness from their automation suppliers,” explained Nigel Smith, founder and chief executive officer of TM Robotics. “This report also highlighted that providing technical and sales support was an important factor when choosing a supplier. Our method for expanding our distribution network fulfills these requirements. Our training program ensures that every distributor in our network can provide customers with the right knowledge and support — and ensure they deliver the right machine for every application. We’ve been aggressively growing our distribution network over the past few years and the recent addition of Werner Electric and Futura will continue to fuel this success.”
