In Booths A4217 and A4317, Scotchman Industries, Inc. (Philip, SD) will be celebrating their 50 years of American manufacturing by showcasing their complete line of hydraulic ironworkers, circular cold saws, band saws, tube and pipe notcher/grinders, manual measuring systems and programmable feed and stop systems. They will also be demonstrating even more automatic sawing solutions than last year, including their newest upcut automatic saw will make its debut: the SUP 600 nonferrous saw, which is now fully automatic and ready to increase a shop’s production.
Visitors can also watch their multi-function production saw, the GAA-500-90 DT20 CNC, which has more features and possibilities than ever before. The GAA-500 90 is a large capacity upcut automatic saw for cutting non-ferrous materials at 90 deg that uses a shuttle feed design with an adjustable vertical and horizontal clamp system to fit almost any profile. This upcut saw is available with a Drill Tap (DT20) option and a CNC option, giving it the ability to drill and tap holes up to 20 mm with a single spindle drill, or by adding a multi-spindle drill, add multiple holes at one time. A shop can make thousands of clips fast with the GAA-500-90 DT20 CNC saw, a true production saw.
Their AngleMaster programmable measuring system, coupled with the SUP 600 NF upcut saw, creates a semi-automatic programmable sawing system that automatically rotates to any cut angle, pushes material into the saw and automatically rotates it to the next desired angle. This system produces a completely finished part. Cut lists can be stored on its 17 in touch screen control. A must see for the aluminum extrusion market.
They will also showcase their versatile and well-known 50 ton ironworker models, the 50514-EC and our 5014ET, which are American-made with five separate work stations. Each unit has 50 tons of pressure and can punch a 13/16 in hole through ¾ in plate. Standard features include an angle shear, flat bar shear, rectangle notcher, and both are backed by their Best-in-the-Business, 3-Year Warranty. The 50514CM ironworker has a single punch station and the new 5014EM offers a three-station revolving turret punch station. Other hydraulic ironworkers being demonstrated will be their fully integrated FI85 model and a dual operator model, the DO95. The full line of Scotchman ironworkers ranges from 45 tons to 150 tons of pressure and are 100 percent American-made, built at their South Dakota factory.
A shop can take their ironworker to the next level and trust their material is accurately positioned every time when they couple it with a state-of-the-art automated material handling system. Together with RazorGage technology, this converts the ironworker into a production machine. Quality hardware and user-friendly software will help a business thrive by extending the life of this trusty system. Investing in this quality component will eliminate waste, reduce scrap, and increase efficiency at the punch station.
