In Booth A5460, Atlas Technologies (Fenton, MI) will showcase their experience and capabilities in designing innovative equipment and automated systems that service numerous industries, including their Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), a fully programmable method of handling numerous dies and/or materials in a quick and efficient manner. An AS/RS is beneficial when a high volume of heavy dies are continuously moved in and out of storage in a facility with limited space. A unique feature of this system is its ability to interface with other handling equipment, creating a custom storage system that is specific to a facility’s needs. It provides accuracy and stability when moving expensive, heavy loads safely.

Atlas can design and develop a storage system to maximize any production facility’s needs. Recently, they installed an expansion of an AS/RS for a large appliance company in Wisconsin. The original system was designed and built by Atlas in 2000 and has been efficiently handling dies for the past 17 years. This expansion project included additional die storage racks, upgraded controls interface, die cart development and refurbishment. The system was designed to support the appliance industries continuous product development growth.
