Lincoln Electric Launches New Education Website

This new site consolidates education products and services into one web presence.

Posted: September 21, 2017

With an expanding educational portfolio, Lincoln Electric® (Cleveland, OH) has consolidated their education products, services and resources into education.lincolnelectric.com, a single convenient website that provides students, educators, corporate trainers and design engineers with a common interface and access to leading welding education information and products. “This new site is designed to help us get the word out about our far-reaching commitment to welding education,” said Jason Scales, the business manager of education at Lincoln Electric. “No one offers a more comprehensive welding education solution for the welding educator, student or those seeking professional development in this field.”

With this new site, users will be able to more easily locate the education assets they need to enhance their career or train the next generation of welders. Users can browse products designed specifically for welding education, including:

  • Virtual reality welding simulators.
  • Welding training systems.
  • Robotic welding training systems.
  • CNC plasma cutting systems.
  • Welding booths.
  • Student apparel, helmets and more.

Instructors considering U/LINC® curriculum for welding and cutting can see sample documents from the library of more than 1,000 lesson plans, student lab activities, assessments, videos and presentations. They also can request a 30-day trial or pricing quote. The site includes descriptions of and links to the Education Resource and Purchasing Portal, where qualified schools can access discounted pricing on necessary supplies, including electrode or wire, welding gear and more. Those seeking to advance their welding career can preview the new Lincoln Electric Welding Technology & Training Center, scheduled to begin operations in late 2017. The school will house nearly 200 welding booths and expanded facilities for professional development, both for school instructors and industrial trainers, as well as welding design engineers. All may register online for remaining spaces in 2017 classes.

The site also serves as the registration portal for customers, authorized distributors and service facility training, as well as motorsports and other specialized weld training. An online resource center delivers technical articles, training equipment tips, research and case studies, a video library and ROI calculators. “The demands on welders and welding educators are changing as the industry and technology change. We know because we work with every sector of the welding industry to enhance productivity and quality while driving down costs,” added Scales. “We take that knowledge and transfer it into curriculum, products and services to help educators prepare the next generation of welders right now. There’s no time to waste, and we are ready to show educators how to engage students, speed the path to certification and match their programs with the needs of employers in their region.”
