In Booth B10061, Huth Ben Pearson International, LLC (Hartford, WI) will introduce their new Model 2650 Fabrication Tube and Pipe Bender that is specially designed to help fabricators bend in a production environment. Typical applications would include the building of structures like carports and agricultural buildings, fences, frames for trailers, racks, guards, etc. This new Fabrication Bender is equipped with a 7.5 hp motor for 58,000 lb of unmatched bending power. Its I-beam construction is reinforced with heavy steel framing and it also uses heavy duty gates and bushings and a fast-working 5 in bore hydraulic cylinder for rapid production bending. It will bend round, square, and rectangular tubing, as well as schedule/thick wall pipe with ease. And it comes equipped with an extra-large 10 gal oil tank to allow continuous multiple–shift usage with no problem.
Huth benders have been made in Wisconsin for the last 35 years and are a favorite among both automotive shop and manufacturing fabricators. Their compression pipe benders are extremely powerful and versatile, as well as easy to use. And they last a really long time. Shops commonly use them profitably and successfully for over 25 years. “Our customers are very well-known names in trailer manufacturing, fencing and fence gate sections, pole barns and car ports,” explained company president Ken Murray. “We work with sporting equipment manufacturers – think batting cages, blocking sleds, soccer goal posts etc. We have customers that build farm structures, including feed rings, arena panels, gates and saddle racks. We also work with manufacturers of boat accessories, such as square applications that include sub frame and boat lifts, as well as manufacturers of industrial/commercial racking, to name just a few.”
In addition to bending up to 3 in round tubing and up to 1½ in schedule 40 pipe, many structural fabricators have discovered the power of a compression pipe bender for working with square and rectangular tubing while building structures and frames. The key to making it work is that Huth Ben Pearson designed and built special dies that allow bending machines to bend square and rectangular tubing up to 2½ in diameters easily and neatly. They carry stock tooling for ¾ in through 2½ in square tube work, as well as some rectangular sizes. They also carry dies for flat stock, as well as make custom tooling.
Also on display will be their Model 1673 Expander-Reducer-Swager, the most versatile tube end forming machine. Shops can now reduce, swage or expand tubing anywhere for flexible, creative, affordable tube connecting. This popular machine forms slip joints, flares/flat flares, ball joints, deep swage expansions and reductions. Other features include:
- A swage box that allows reductions to 3 in and solid tool expansions. Swaging capacity is from 1 in to 3 in.
- A powerful 5 hp motor, single-phase (30 amp), or 3-phase (20 amp). The system runs on 220 volt, 60 Hz supply, with 50 Hz and other voltages available.
- A 3½ in cylinder produces 25,000 lb of expanding power, with expanding capacity from 1 in to 5½ in. The machine uses an Accu-Sizer™ automatic, preset expanding system for quick, precise expanding each and every time.
- A collet holder for 1 in to 2½ in OD tubing.
- “See-through” safety guards for increased protection during all operations.
- A front swivel caster with brake.
- A 15 ft power cord with male and female receptacles.
