To support Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma relief efforts, ESAB Welding & Cutting Products (Florence, SC) has announced that with every shipment of select products between now and December 31, 2017, they will make a contribution to assist the rebuilding efforts. For this initiative the company has selected some of their highest volume products: ESAB Rebel™ 215ic and 235ic welding machines, Thermal Dynamics® Cutmaster® 60i manual plasma cutters, Victor® Journeyman Edge™, Journeyman 450, and Performer oxy-fuel outfits, in the hopes of reaching the donation goal of $250,000 as quickly as possible. Contributions will go to Operation USA, a 100-percent privately funded agency that has delivered more than $400 million in aid for relief and development projects. Founded in 1979, Operation USA has a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, including a 100 percent rating for accountability and transparency. In addition to the relief fund donation, they are supporting distributors in the affected areas by providing a core team that will manage expedited order processing, order acknowledgement and enhanced technical support. The company has also sent teams of technical specialists to the impacted areas to support distributor efforts with their end user customers.
