Monica Ford, a PhD and senior surface scientist of lubricants and metalworking fluid additives at Ingevity (North Charleston, SC), has been selected to serve as the secretary for the metalworking fluids committee of the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA; Alexandria, VA). Her term as secretary will run from 2017–2019 in a role that leads to eventual terms as the vice chair and chair of the committee.
She supports technical efforts for the lubricants market at Ingevity and brings almost ten years of technical experience to the ILMA committee board. “Monica brings a welcomed value to the committee as a scientist with a supplier member company,” said Ann Ball of CIMCOOL Fluid Technology (Cincinnati,OH), the incoming committee chair and board member. “Her expertise, added to that of the active manufacturer members, will certainly be an asset to the committee’s focused efforts on regulatory issues impacting our industry.”
“Serving on this metalworking fluids committee is an honor,” added Dr. Ford. “We will continue in our commitment to understand and address regulatory concerns that affect the metalworking fluids industry.”
