Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI; Hatfield, PA) has promoted Chris Mecleary of Macungie, PA, to be their business development manager. In this position, he is responsible for establishing and developing relationships with new and existing material testing, nondestructive testing and calibration customers. Mecleary was hired as an inside sales representative in October 2014, and had actively managed many of their larger account relationships for the past three years. He also worked closely with the New Business Team as an inside liaison for new customers. He is experienced with account set up, quoting, and coordinating, expediting and tracking orders that have been sent to the company for processing.

As the business development manager, Mecleary will continue to be a part of the Sales / Customer Service Department. “This Department is very capable of servicing customers of all sizes, in a variety of industries and with a wide-range of service needs,” explained Mike Hiller, their director of sales and customer service. “We are set up for fast response and processing, whether it’s answering questions about services, preparing quotes, establishing a new account or overseeing an order in production. This group of customer service reps, account managers and new business managers is the central point of contact at the Lab.”

Mecleary is a Penn State University graduate, where he attended the Smeal College of Business and earned a B.S. in Marketing with a minor in Business Law. He is also Lean 1 Certified through the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center. Prior to joining LTI, he worked as a marketing analyst for the Mueller Industries division of Precision Tool Company. He went on to become the Northeast territory district sales manager for Mueller and their divisions, including Precision Tube Company, Mueller Impacts, Mueller Forgings and Micro Gauge. In this capacity, he worked with customers in numerous business sectors, including non-ferrous metals, aerospace, nuclear, medical and automotive.
