Roll-Kraft (Mentor, OH) has installed a new Samsung SL-65MC/1000 turning center with live tooling and the latest CNC controls on the factory floor of Chicago Roll Company (Lombard, IL). This machine will allow them to produce rolls with a maximum diameter of 35 in and maximum length of 39.4 in. Along with up-to-date technology and many state-of-the-art upgrades, this new machine tool is very user-friendly, featuring a digital touch display. It will provide the necessary accuracy and precision that is essential in producing new rolls and reworking existing rolls.
