Eckhart Opens New Advanced Technology Center

This 47,000 sq ft technology showcase serves engineering and assembly of next generation Autocraft AGVs and an additive manufacturing laboratory.

Eckhart's Advanced Technology Center currently employs 60 people and the company’s expansion plans call for the employment of more than 100 in the next two years, all to accelerate adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies for the largest industrial companies in the world.

Eckhart (Warren, MI), founded in Michigan in 1958 as a supplier to global manufacturers, has opened their new 47,000 sq ft Advanced Technology Center in Warren that will serve as their technology showcase, including engineering and assembly of next generation AutocraftÔ Autonomous Guided Vehicles that are transforming manufacturing value streams worldwide, as well as an additive manufacturing (3D printed) laboratory.

The Advanced Technology Center currently employs 60 people and future expansion plans call for the employment of more than 100 in the next two years, all to accelerate adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies for the largest industrial companies in the world. The company’s workforce is focused on enhancing the safety, productivity, and reliability of employees who will be part of assembly processes connected to the smart factories of the future.
