Kitagawa-NorthTech Hires New Regional Sales Manager
Mike Johnston now manages workholding sales and service in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana.

Kitagawa-NorthTech, Inc. (Schaumburg, IL) announced that Mike Johnston has joined them as a regional sales manager. His sales territory includes Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana of the Great Lakes regions of the U.S. He supports their standard power chucks, advanced chucks, automated workholding, automated jaw pallet system (AJPS), engineered rotational and prismatic workholding systems, turning and grinding line of steady rests, hydraulic cylinders, grippers and rotary tables. He will also sell and represent their in-house repair, rebuild and preventative maintenance services. He will service and support end-users, OEMs, machine tool distributors and cutting tool distributors.
“Our machine tool accessories, such as the Tri-Kote grease for lubricating power chucks and the digital grip force analyzer software and kit for measuring grip force, are unique products that every machine shop should use for everyday chuck maintenance,” said Johnston. “If you do not know your grip force you cannot optimize your machine tool to produce the maximum amount of parts safely.”
With over 30 years of metalworking industry experience, he has an extensive and broad background. Throughout his career in metalworking and machining, he has worked in several capacities, including CNC programming, design engineering, applications engineering, machine tool sales and accessories sales, as well as owning a machine shop focused on machining parts for the medical industry. Most recently Johnston was a regional sales manager for workholding manufacturer ATS Systems.
He resides in Euclid, MI, and will report out of the company headquarters and full-service manufacturing facility for the Americas that is based in Schaumburg, which features in-house design, engineering, manufacturing and repair services for workholding.
