Hoffmann Group (Munich, Germany) has received the coveted iF Design Award in the product design discipline for three GARANT premium brand products: the ToolCar roller cabinet, the Xpent 5-axis vice, and the hydraulic measuring stand. This trio was able to impress the 63-member jury and to prevail against 6,400 submissions from 54 countries. This award is presented once a year by the world’s oldest independent design institution, iF International Forum Design GmbH (Hanover, Germany).
The new GridLine ToolCar is a rolling organizational station which impresses with progressive design and clear lines. Its centrally lockable side compartment has a perforated panel, to which the Easyfix holders and hooks for the tool holder can be attached. The ToolCar is also optionally available with a power supply in the side compartment and with lighting. Robust yet quiet rolling wheels as well as an ergonomically shaped push handle make it easier to move around in the workshop, even under extreme operating conditions.
The Xpent vice is optimized for 5-face machining and convinces with modularity and flexibility. It has clamping modules that can be rotated through 180 deg, a travel of over 100 mm without conversion and a modern quick-change spindle system. These features make it easy to adapt the clamp to any machining strategy in just a few simple steps. The top and front jaw system is a sophisticated design.
The hydraulic measuring stand is not just aesthetically pleasing, it also scored with its functionality. The product is designed for accurate holding and positioning of dial gauges and lever gauges. Its hydraulic central clamping system can unfold extreme holding forces and is wear-free. The large and rubberised clamping handle ensures that all joints can be fixed evenly. The high-performance ferrite magnet is switched on and off via the rotary switch located in the magnetic switch. With its V-shaped underside the measuring stand is also suitable for mounting on shafts and cylindrical bodies. The specially developed plastic enclosure of the magnetic base allows a secure grip and protects the surface of sensitive workpieces.
