PMT Group, Inc. (Bridgeport, CT), the parent company of Moore Tool Company, Inc. (Bridgeport, CT), Moore Nanotechnology Systems, LLC (Nanotech; Swanzey, NH) and Producto Corporation, appointed Mark Boomgarden the president and chief executive officer of Moore Tool and Nanotech effective April 16, 2018. Len Chaloux, the co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Nanotech, will step down and serve as the president emeritus through the end of calendar year 2018, at which time he will retire.
“I am very excited to have Mark on board,” said Newman Marsilius III, the chief executive officer of PMT Group. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and executive leadership experience that will help advance us to the next level of business growth. I would also like to personally thank Len for his early vision, dedication, and leadership over the last 20-plus years in making Nanotech the innovative market leader that they are today.”
“After two decades of leading and growing our organization, I have decided that now is the right time for me to retire and transition the company’s leadership to Mark,” added Chaloux. “His experience in custom and consumer optical markets, which includes years of working with Nanotech equipment, made him my first recommendation as my successor. I look forward to working with him during this transition.”
“I am honored to take over as this position,” stated Boomgarden. “The products, technologies and employees assembled by Len and Newman are truly world class and I am excited to continue building on our strong market position and global footprint. My focus will be to continue providing quality and innovation to our customers, as well as leading and executing our new and existing business strategies.”
Boomgarden has 20-plus years of business and technology leadership experience, including manufactured products, licensing of intellectual property, large-scale research and development and new company formation. He has held key executive leadership positions in both private and public companies, with expertise in business development, operations, engineering and supply chain, domestically and internationally.
Most recently he was co-founder, the corporate vice president and vice president of operations at Akoustis, a technology company that designed, developed and manufactured single-crystal RF filters for the mobile phone industry.
