In Booth N-237422, HE&M Saw, Inc. (Pryor, OK) will feature their new Noncontact Material Length Positioner, a servo-driven measuring device that utilizes the latest sensor and motion control technology for accurate and time saving material measuring. This patented measuring system utilizes dual lasers to identify the front edge of material as it moves across the powered conveyor system, then the conveyor table automatically slows down and engages with the bar-feed system, which feeds the material the final distance until it reaches the second laser. The length positioner is easily controlled and adjusted from the console’s touch screen.
Also on display will be their new 48 in Ball Screw Bar-Feed, a smoother running servo-driven bar-feed with faster cycle times and more accurate positioning of material that allows for improved efficiency and more accurate part lengths. The bar-feed table incorporates rollers all the way through and is fully-panned. The feed vise on the bar-feed is bi-directional to provide clamping for mill bundles and to eliminate interference with metal straps or bands. A third Holding Vise and Feed Vise Full-Capacity Top Clamp are available as options for additional clamping during the cutting process.
