OMAX Opens Demo Center in Shanghai
Their waterjets are featured in the AMT Shanghai Technology and Service Center through their distribution partner SIMENCO.

OMAX® Corporation (Kent, WA), a global leader in advanced abrasive waterjet technology, is featuring their GlobalMAX 1530 and ProtoMAX abrasive waterjets at the AMT Shanghai Technology and Service Center. Hands-on software and machine demonstrations, as well as application support, will be provided by personnel at the site. The size and complexity of the Chinese market for abrasive waterjets has prompted the company and their distribution partner SIMENCO to provide complementary sales and application support.
Personnel in the center will also support other OMAX and MAXIEM brand machines. “We have a wide portfolio of machines to address a variety of industries, budgets, and capabilities,” said Steve Ulmer, the vice president of international sales at OMAX. “The center will feature products and personnel to support that portfolio.” Customers and prospects can experience first-hand how these waterjets are easy to operate: their Intelli-MAX control software was engineered specifically for use with abrasive waterjets and requires no special machine code knowledge. A person unfamiliar with CNC machine operation can learn to cut parts on the waterjet in just a few hours.
