Booth N-236723: Gehring builds systems for honing cylinders in internal combustion engines and supplies cutting-edge surface finish technology for gears and numerous other industrial applications. copperING provides technology used to build electrical powertrains, particularly rotors and stators used in the traction drives of electrical vehicles.

In Booth N-236723, Gehring LP (Farmington Hills, MI) and copperING Group (Wernigerode, Germany) are uniting their global product portfolios and establishing themselves as a supplier for production systems in both conventional and electrical powertrain segments. This ongoing agreed merger is a key component in the global strategy of both companies to meet changing market demands.

As a global automotive supplier with more than 90 years of experience, Gehring is a technology leader for honing cylinders in internal combustion engines and supplying cutting-edge surface finish technology for gears and numerous other industrial applications. They contribute toward the reduction of CO2 emissions from engines with their innovative honing and coating technologies, and are active in the automotive, supplier, hydraulics and pneumatics, and aerospace markets. On display will be individual honing stones to honing tools, as well as gauging and automation systems, right up to integrated honing systems that include digital applications, services and innovative honing, laser structuring, roughening and coating technologies.

Electromobility is indispensable for achieving future CO2 emission reduction targets in the automotive industry. copperING provides over 30 years of extensive experience as a manufacturer of production technology in the field of electrical powertrains, particularly on the main processes used to produce rotors and stators that are particularly suitable for the traction drives of electrical vehicles. Their technology spectrum ranges from the hairpin process chain to flyer winding, collector welding, turning, impregnating to inductive heating for industrial users of automation and electrical drives. The integration of copperING into the Gehring Group will permit customers to choose from a wide range of innovative production technologies for their various drive concepts from a single source. In addition to the system and automation competence of Gehring, copperING’s product range constitutes an ideal basis for supplying lines for e-motor production.
