Booth E-133368: To reduce downtime, increase throughput and achieve up to 50 percent increase in productivity, Merlin Tempus Enterprise Edition (EE) from Memex expands machine monitoring and management functionality with real-time data collection capabilities that capture machine-generated information and real-time sensor data, including alarm states, feed and speed rate overrides and other green-light metrics, then places them in easy-to-read visual dashboards and KPI reports for easy navigation.

In Booth E-133368, Memex Inc. (Burlington, ON) presents their new release of Merlin Tempus Enterprise Edition (EE), constructed utilizing the latest technology (including HTML5, .NET and RESTful APIs). Tempus EE builds on the core Merlin software platform, offering manufacturers expanded machine monitoring and management functionality to efficiently run their operations. Merlin Tempus’ real-time data collection capabilities capture machine-generated information and real-time sensor data, including alarm states, feed and speed rate overrides, and various other green-light metrics and contextualizes them in easy-to-read visual dashboards and KPI reports. Tempus EE provides for easy navigation and many enhanced features useful for shop floor production operations, including role-based dashboards for production personnel, engineers, operators and managers.

Other features include Op-Step management functionality, priority and alternate machine routings, asset management, traceability, event manager pan and zoom, analytics, and advanced data source conditioning. The Operator Portal has been improved with new features such as freeform text, serialization, rework, and scanner support. Tempus EE has a new optional DNC software module that facilitates program file transfer to machines with support for native machine protocols and FTP networking. Finally, the enterprise design of Merlin allows for multi-plant operations across time zones with its new durable gateway architecture. Memex will demonstrate how Merlin Tempus EE effortlessly connects both legacy machines and the newest machine tools to a plant’s ERP business system and will show how Merlin’s calculation of real-time Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), among other metrics, provides manufacturers with visibility in an accurate operational scorecard. Manufacturers can then proactively optimize operations to reduce downtime, increase throughput, often achieving a 10 percent to 50 percent increase in productivity.
