Weiler Abrasives Expands U.S. Operations
Lean manufacturing and factory automation opened capacity to consolidate and increase power brush manufacturing in their Cresco plant.

Weiler Abrasives Group (Cresco, PA) will expand operations at their Cresco facility as a result of investments in lean manufacturing and factory automation that opened space and capacity at the location. This move allows them to consolidate their power brush manufacturing operations. Due to this consolidation, they will close their manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China, and transition production to the Cresco location over the coming months.
“We are confident this will be entirely seamless to our customers,” said Bill Dwyre, the managing director, Americas, for Weiler Abrasives Group. “We are excited about the benefits this move will bring to our local community and our North American customers, including improved service levels that they have come to expect from us. These investments are designed to further position us for growth and reinforce our continued commitment to U.S. manufacturing.”
