Retired Hobart Manager Inducted Into Engineering Academy
Dean Phillips is recognized by the Academy of Engineering and Engineering Technology at LeTourneau University.

Hobart Brothers LLC (Troy, OH) recognized their former manager of welding engineering, Dean Phillips, who was recently honored by LeTourneau University (Longview, TX). Phillips worked at Hobart for 27 years before retiring in June 2016. A 1971 graduate of LeTourneau, he was among the 31 engineering alumni inducted into their inaugural Academy of Engineering and Engineering Technology, a hall of fame that recognizes the career achievements and industry influence of outstanding alumni of LeTourneau’s School of Engineering and Engineering Technology. Induction into this academy honors alumni who achieved noteworthy professional accomplishments and became leaders in their respective disciplines and industries, according to a university statement.
