Lantek Appoints New CEO
Alberto López de Biñaspre is the company’s new chief executive officer.

Lantek Sheet Metal Solutions, S.L. (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain), a pioneering multinational in the digital transformation of the sheet metal and fabrication sector, has announced the appointment and incorporation of Alberto López de Biñaspre as the company’s new chief executive officer.
With more than 16 years of international experience leading global teams, he has a clear focus on promoting and fostering corporate culture and developing talent, as well as a solid reputation as a creator of committed and high performing teams. A business development specialist, his professional career has focused on managing international projects and operations, as well as providing differentiated service offerings to generate trust in customers and achieve new consolidated business flows for continuous growth. He speaks several languages (German, English and French), which has allowed him to manage multicultural teams, thus expanding and integrating international collaboration.
In recent years he has worked for General Electric, where he has held positions of responsibility in different areas of the company, most recently in the Grid Automation business. Within this division, he acted as the managing director of the GE plant in Zamudio, Spain, with a staff of 200 and 70 million euros in revenue. López de Biñaspre was also the director of P&L for Europe, Russia, CIS countries and sub-Saharan Africa, with a team of 450 professionals, achieving a turnover of over 200 million euros. Previously, he was in charge of engineering and projects services for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Southern Europe, amongst other roles.
He holds an Engineering Degree in Automation and Industrial Electronics from the University of Deusto (Madrid, Spain) and is certified in Advanced Project Management by the University of Mondragon (Mondragón, Gipuzkoa). He is PMP certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI; Philidelphia, PA) and is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE; New York, NY). He has also completed several leadership programs at the GE Global Leadership Institute in New York and the Advanced Management Program at IE Business School (Madrid, Spain), thereby completing his management training. He has also authored numerous technical articles published in the media.
