In Booth A-3022, Automatic Tool Company (ATC; Perry, MI), a division of Aptek Inc., introduces their new AirPacer in response to the demand for simple and reliable pick-and-place (PnP) devices. This unique air-over-cam system provides the precision of cam-motion type units with the simplicity and economy of pneumatics. The AirPacer line features three sizes with fixed PnP motions controlled via a precision cam and powered by a pneumatic rotary actuator. This single unit is provided ready to mount and tool, this eliminates the need to mate and integrate multiple pneumatic slides, interface plates, plumbing valves and cylinders. These units are ideal for small parts handling, loading, unloading, and assembly on automated or semi-automated systems.
