In Booth C-11318, Weiler Abrasives Group (Cresco, PA) will showcase their cutting, grinding and combo wheels, along with their offering of robust resin fiber discs (RFDs), best-in-class flap discs and other products that provide exceptional performance and improve productivity in metal fabrication. Weiler will also recreate multiple fabrication applications that will feature recommended products designed to provide the most efficient cutting, grinding and cleaning results for a specific end market. Representatives will be available to discuss how each solution excels in its given application and to provide abrasives recommendations. Fabrication applications to be displayed include:

  • Sheet Metal: Many industrial and consumer products are made from thin gauge metals, including electronics, conveyers and tuck boxes. Precise cut outs, long cuts and cutting shapes are all part of working with thin gauge steel. This area will feature innovative Ultra-CUT 1MM thin cutting wheels with Solid Core technology, which increases wheel density to provide longer life, super smooth cutting and ease of control on long runs. The difference between the Ultra-Cut and thicker wheels on the market will also be showcased. Attendees are encouraged to visit to see the difference in productivity that is achievable by using the right wheel for the job.
  • Multi-Pass Welding: This is a common process in many industries, requiring steps that include weld tacking, laying the bead, hot pass, multiple filler and cap passes, as well as beveling. These applications will feature the Roughneck® Combo Notching and Grinding Wheel, Roughneck stringer bead wheels, Tiger® Aluminum Flap Discs, resin fiber discs and other high quality abrasive products.
  • Railing Fabrication: Metal hand railings are big business for many small- to medium-sized fabrication shops and they require grinding and finishing, not only for safety, but also aesthetics. These applications will feature Tiger cutting wheels, Roughneck Max stringer bead wheels, Tiger X flap discs and the Weiler resin fiber disc offering.

Other fabrication displays will feature Weiler bonded abrasives, flap discs, wire brushes and more.
