Ideal for steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, bronze and other applications, PLANTEX SUNFIRE CERAMIC segmented flap discs from CS Unitec are specifically developed for grinding, blending and finishing all metals with one disc. The flaps use an innovative ceramic-hybrid grit structure that provides aggressive material removal, as well as controlled blending and finishing: the 40/60 combination multi-grain grit grinds like a 40, blends and finishes like a 60.
PLANTEX SUNFIRE CERAMIC segmented flap discs have a 5/8 in x 11 hub and feature a backing plate composed of a high-tech, fiberglass-free compound. The fiber backing is 70 percent natural hemp. This hemp-based natural fiber backing plate is environmentally friendly, runs safer and does not emit harsh fumes or glass splinters when in use. It boasts high-strength construction, yet it is flexible to conform to the surface of the workpiece. It is extremely versatile, easily trimmable for a wide variety of applications and use in tight spaces.
