Lincoln Electric Acquires Inovatech Engineering

This deal advances their automation strategy in structural steel fabrication.

Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. (Cleveland, OH) has acquired Inovatech Engineering Corporation (Vankleek Hill, ON) and related assets. Inovatech is a privately held, Canada-based manufacturer of advanced robotic plasma cutting systems for structural steel applications. “We are pleased to welcome Inovatech into our automation portfolio,” said Christopher L. Mapes, the chairman, president and chief executive officer of Lincoln Electric. “This addition scales our automated cutting solutions and application expertise for structural steel applications and supports long-term growth in that market.” Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
