New CEO and President at Dürr Systems
Mike Boss is now responsible for overall activities in Paint and Final Assembly, Application Technology and Clean Technology operations in North America.

Mike Boss has taken over the lead of Dürr Systems, Inc. (Southfield, MI) from Bruno Welsch, who has moved on to pursue his career in their German senior executive management. “I am delighted to welcome Mike to our company. He has a high level of expertise in paint engineering and knows the automotive industry very well. He is well acquainted with us from his time at Ford,” says Welsch, who has moved into a new position as a member of the board of Dürr Systems AG (Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany) and be responsible for the worldwide activities of their Paint and Final Assembly Systems division.
Boss studied chemical engineering, holds an MBA in Business Administration and is an expert on the automotive industry. He began his professional career at the Ford Motor Company in 1988, where he held different management positions mainly in the paint area. He spent a total of 30 years at the Ford Motor Company. As chief executive officer and president, Boss will be responsible for overall activities in the areas of Paint and Final Assembly, Application Technology and Clean Technology in North America.
