TCI Precision Metals Increases Workforce

Stocking over 500,000 lb of material for quick turnaround on customer requirements, including 6061, 2024 or 7075 aluminum plate and sheet, stainless steel plate and several other alloys, TCI Precision Metals (Gardena, CA) is a wholesale metals distributor for Alcoa, Kaiser and Hulamin Aluminum. They have increased their workforce by 15 percent over the last six months in response to increasing awareness and demand for their machine-ready blanks that help shops increase throughput of production machining jobs without adding equipment or additional overhead. Some of their new material includes near-net blanks with one or more features that eliminate the need for material prep. These blanks can include drill, bore, turn, mill, rough and hog out features as specified.
“We help shops improve throughput by as much as 25 percent by eliminating material prep work, including cutting, milling, grinding, and squaring,” said Ben Belzer, the president and chief operating officere of TCI. “Our customer receives machine-ready material that arrives ready to go, directly from receiving into their machining centers. That productivity value alone is fueling our growth.” TCI serves machine shops competing in the medical, oil and gas, aerospace, industrial equipment, defense, food packaging, semiconductor and many other industries.
