Weiler Abrasives Group (Cresco, PA) announced two new positions within the company to serve key metal fabrication industries: David Jescovitch has taken on the role of abrasive specialist manager and Ron McCarthy is now an abrasive specialist.
Jescovitch has worked with the company for over 34 years in various roles, most recently serving as senior district sales manager. Now he will manage a team focusing on customers in the metal fabrication market that will concentrate on pipeline construction, shipbuilding and large metal fabricators. He and his team will work with users to understand their challenges, and to offer value-added services and solutions that improve safety, productivity and cost savings. While leading this team, he will also collaborate with sales teams to support customers. “We are pleased to have David in this new role. He has demonstrated the dedication, technical acumen and knowledge to succeed at working with customers in our target end markets, as well as having decades of experience with our distributor partners,” said Jason Conner, the vice president of sales for the U.S. and Canada.
In his new role as an abrasive specialist, McCarthy will support Jescovitch and other team members in their efforts to bring abrasive solutions to the market and grow the company’s presence. He will work directly with users to help define productivity and quality standards and select the best product to address their challenges. As an abrasive specialist, his focus will be on helping find faster, safer and more cost-effective abrasive solutions for metal fabricators. McCarthy was formerly a Weiler district sales manager for over ten years. “We are excited to have Ron back with us in this abrasive specialist position. He is an expert at providing value-added solutions to our customers and is a true partner who can help welders and fabricators solve their toughest surface conditioning challenges,” added Conner.
