United Performance Metals (UPM; Greenville, SC) has successfully achieved Pratt & Whitney (Harford, CT) Laboratory Control at Source (LCS) approval for high temperature materials used for critical aerospace applications. This approval will allow their Greenville branch to begin providing LCS-certified materials in both sheet and bar forms to their Southeastern U.S. customer base. “Achieving P&W-LCS certification in Greenville allows us the ability to provide our customers with the LCS materials they need in the Southeast region, something we really wanted to do to serve that market at the highest possible standards,” stated J.J. Johnson, their director of operations.
“We’re very proud we have obtained our certification,” added Mark Ruel, the quality lead at UPM Greenville. “This achievement demonstrates our focus on delivering the highest quality standards across the U.S. We want to make it easy for our customers to find the LCS certified materials they need, wherever they are located.”
