Bull Moose Tube Company (St. Louis, MO), a leading manufacturer of steel pipe and tube, hired Jeff Strobach as their new vice president of sales and Eric Hickert as their new director of sales/distribution. These hires were made following recent retirements in the leadership of the company’s sales team.
As vice president of sales for Bull Moose Tube and Bull Moose Engineering, Strobach is responsible for the commercial strategy and leadership of the 40-member sales team. Joining the company in 2018, he leads their efforts in sales leadership coaching, strategic account/market development and distribution strategy design. He has served in similar roles at other manufacturing companies, including Barry-Wehmiller, a global supplier of manufacturing technology and services, Duke Manufacturing and SLP, a division of Kohler Enterprises.
Hired in January 2019 as the director of sales, Hickert is responsible for managing and facilitating distributor rebate programs; calling on key distributors; coaching, mentoring and training new and existing employees; and overseeing the company’s field-sales staff. He is a manufacturing-industry veteran with extensive experience in developing and implementing strategic and tactical sales plans to expand market share and drive sales growth for companies including SloanLED (Ventura, CA) and General Electric Lighting in the Cleveland and Toronto regions.
“In an increasingly competitive global landscape where periodic price volatility and looming tariff questions are the new normal, we are fortunate to find leaders in Jeff and Eric to bring new ideas and new energy to our sales team,” said James Charmley, the president and chief executive officer of the company. “I am confident that they will help successfully navigate us through these challenges and maintain our company as a sales leader in steel tube and pipe.”
