Flexible Lights-Out Large-Format Fiber Laser Cutting

For high production volumes and a high variety of jobs where parts separation and sorting is a bottleneck, fully automated Phoenix FL 4020 and Phoenix FL 6020 large-format fiber laser cutting machines from LVD Strippit maximize productivity with high speed cutting, reduced material handling and preparation time.

Combined with a robust load/unload automation system that handles large pallets for sheet sizes up to 240 in x 80 in and material thicknesses from 0.036 in to 1 in, the Phoenix FL 6020 large-format fiber laser cutting machine from LVD Strippit offers 90-second process cycle times for complete loading and unloading. Unprocessed material can be stacked to a height of 6.2 in and finished parts can be stacked as high as 9.5 in.

For fully automated lights-out processing, Phoenix FL 4020 and Phoenix FL 6020 large-format fiber laser cutting machines from LVD Strippit (Akron, NY) include options for an automated load/unload system and a range of Compact Tower (CT-L) systems for the Phoenix FL 4020 that keep pace with the high speed cutting of the Phoenix laser and reduce material handling and preparation time to maximize machine productivity. The robust construction of the load/unload automation system handles large pallets for maximum sheet sizes of 160 in x 80 in (4,000 mm x 2,000 mm; Phoenix FL 4020) and 240 in x 80 in (6,000 mm x 2,000 mm; Phoenix FL 6020) and material thicknesses from 0.036 in to 1 in (0.8 mm to 25 mm). It offers fast process cycle times for complete loading and unloading: just 65 seconds for Phoenix FL 4020 and 90 seconds for the Phoenix FL 6020. Unprocessed material can be stacked to a height of 6.2 in (159 mm) and finished parts can be stacked as high as 9.5 in (240 mm).

This streamlined system enables access to the raw material and easy removal of the unload pallet from above. The area above the laser table remains free for manual load and unloading. This load/unload system is ideal for shops with high production volumes and for fabricators processing a high variety of jobs where parts separation and sorting is a bottleneck. It is offered as an option or can be retrofitted to Phoenix FL 4020 or 6020 machines. The CT-L enables automated production from stored raw material to stacked, cut parts in a compact, small footprint system. The Phoenix FL 4020 is available with six different CT-L versions for loading, unloading and storage of raw material and finished parts, including a basic system with one tower in five, ten or 14-pallet configurations, as well as a two-tower CT-L system for high volume applications. The second tower adds nine pallets to the CT-L 5, 14 pallets to the CT-L 10, and 18 pallets to the CT-L 14. Each input and output pallet has a capacity of up to 6,000 lb (3,000 kg) and 9.5 in (240 mm) of stacking height. Maximum sheet dimensions are 160 in x 80 in (4,095 mm x 2055 mm) with ¾ in (20 mm) thickness.
