AMETEK Fine Tubes (Plymouth, UK) appointed Dr. Mathew Davies as their new health, safety and environmental manager to strengthen their long-standing commitment to health and safety. He brings with him seven years of experience in health, safety and environmental management roles across several businesses, as well as a PhD in chemistry and a General Certificate from the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health. Davies will provide leadership for the whole of the company’s health, safety and environmental activities, working on a site-wide safety strategy to develop a zero-incident culture. His lean manufacturing skills will help him integrate their HSE processes with lean thinking and methodology.
“We are very excited to welcome Mathew to the team,” said Dave Cawse, the operations director at Fine Tubes. “We firmly believe in putting the safety of our workforce first in everything that we do. We are looking forward to Mathew helping us to develop our safety culture further as part of our overall journey to zero incidents.”
“I am thrilled to be joining the Fine Tubes team in this important role,” added Davies. “I strongly believe that safety is the cornerstone of everything that a company does and stands for. Not just in the factories where the manufacturing takes place, but also in the offices and when staff travel, both to and from our site, as well as further afield around the UK and abroad.”
