The RIDGID® B-500 Transportable Pipe Beveler from Ridge Tool Company (Elyria, OH) enables an operator to quickly set-up and bevel 10 in diameter Schedule 40 pipes in 45 seconds without flames, replacing traditional beveling methods such as grinding. This compact unit mounts to the end of pipes that are 4 in diameter or greater with a maximum wall thickness of ½ in, as well as on flat plates up to ½ in thick. Interchangeable heads allow bevels to be precisely cut at 30 deg, 37.5 deg or 45 deg. The tool features speed monitoring with LED indicators that assist the operator in keeping the beveler moving at an optimal pace, ensuring a consistent machine-finished bevel in a single pass. The compact design also enables a single operator to create bevels in a wide range of applications. The MegaPress XL Booster makes connections in under 25 seconds, saving time and enhancing efficiency. Simply attach the booster to the end of the RP 340 and press the trigger on the tool three times for a secure press connection.
