The SerialTap cybersecurity sensor for industrial control applications from Cynash passively intercepts serial communications on legacy industrial control networks, then transmits the intercepted data to a backend appliance and higher-level computing systems for critical systems monitoring, intrusion detection and asset management by a Cynash suite of industrial cybersecurity tools.

The SerialTap™ patented cybersecurity sensor for industrial control applications from Cynash, Inc. (McLean, VA) is an enterprise version of security used for protecting critical infrastructure.” Based on technology developed by the United States Department of Energy, SerialTap passively intercepts serial communications on legacy industrial control networks, then transmits the intercepted data to a backend appliance and higher-level computing systems for critical systems monitoring, intrusion detection and asset management by a Cynash suite of industrial cybersecurity tools. “The commercial adoption of this critical technology will help us further address and solve the complex cybersecurity challenges that affect legacy control systems,” said Richard Robinson, the chief executive officer of Cynash.
