OMAX Corporation (Kent, WA) announced two changes to their management team: Mike Ruppenthal was promoted from vice president of North American sales to general manager of the company, and Steve Ulmer was promoted from vice president of international sales to vice president of sales.
For the past seven years, Ruppenthal served as the vice president of North American sales, responsible for developing sales strategy across the United States and Canada. Prior to that, he worked at Flow International for 11 years in both sales and marketing. As general manager, he will oversee day-to-day operations of the company. “I’ve been fortunate to have worked with the exemplary talent here and it’s an honor to lead this team,” he said.
Ulmer has been the vice president of international sales for over ten years. Before that he worked five years in a variety of territories, selling products and managing distributors as a regional sales manager. Now he will oversee all sales divisions, both internationally and domestically. “I am excited to be appointed to this position and look forward to all the positive potential of having the product sales together under one division,” noted Ulmer. “This will allow all of our groups to work together better.”
Both of these shifts in the management team come after their merger with Hypertherm, Inc. (Hanover, NH), which combined OMAX direct drive pumps, software and applications technologies with Hypertherm’s portfolio of intensifier-based pumps, abrasive recycling systems and AccuStream consumables.
