Weiler Abrasives (Cresco, PA) kicked off a months-long celebration of their 75th anniversary with a national sales meeting. The celebration is geared toward their customers, coworkers and community to thank them for contributing to the growth and longevity of the company — once a small jewelry polishing brush business and today a global abrasives leader. Founded by Karl E. Weiler in 1944 as the Weiler Brush Company in Long Island — with only $50 and a big dream — the company continues to be privately-owned and operated at thei current headquarters in Cresco under the fourth-generation leadership of Chris Weiler, their chief executive officer. His father Karl M. serves as chairman. The company now has 1,300 employees across eight different countries and still stands by their key values of integrity, customer focus, accountability, learning and competence, and passion.
To acknowledge the role their customers have had over the course of their business, they will be offering a variety of promotions in the coming months and will also host employee activities, including a family Fall Harvest Celebration in October at the headquarters that will close out the anniversary celebration. They will also organize several activities to engage the community in the celebration.
