Big River Steel Expands Production
Their installation of a second electric arc furnace includes an order for Spray-Cooled equipment.

Systems Spray-Cooled (Smyrna, TN) received additional orders from Big River Steel (Osceola, AR) and SMS Group GmbH (Hilchenbach, Germany) for the installation and maintenance of their equipment at Big River Steel’s steelmaking facility in Osceola, AR. As part of its recently announced Phase 2 expansion, the company is installing a second electric arc furnace.
Spray-Cooled ™ equipment will cover 100 percent of Big River Steel’s furnace cooling needs and will include the furnace sidewall, roof, elbow and off-gas duct work. Their decision to again purchase and install the equipment was based on the success of the equipment already installed and maintained by Systems Spray-Cooled.
