Innovative FANUC CiB-Series wire EDMs and Ocean EDM Drills from Methods Machine Tools cost-effectively machine complex parts with increased accuracy, speed, and throughput

Using a powerful FANUC 31i-WB control with an iHMI User Interface, advanced Automatic Wire Feeding and an Economy Mode for energy and wire usage savings, FANUC CiB-Series wire EDMs from Methods Machine Tools burn with virtually no re-cast and the AWF2 threads thicknesses up to 20 in submerged. These machines also feature Core-Stitch slug retention, thermal displacement compensation, a moving tank design and 3D compensation function, increased accuracy, speed, and throughput.
The CAM software on the mid-size Ocean River 600 CNC from Methods Machine Tools easily generates accurate programs for complex 5-axis parts. Its proprietary HP1+ power supply significantly reduces wear, shortens burn times and consumes less energy. It has an A/ B axis tilt/ turn table for break-thru detection, a reliable electrode changer, and can drill fine holes (from 0.004 in to 0.25 in) in spherical and curved parts made of materials ranging from hard alloy steels to powder metallurgy materials.
For multi-cavity programmable drilling, the compact, entry-level Ocean River 300 from Methods Machine Tools features high-efficiency linear guideways and a standard 100L DI/Filter. Its X-axis travel measures 11.8 in, Y-axis at 7.9 in, Z-axis at 11.8 in and W-axis at 13.8 in.

The automatic wire tension meter and servo motor adjustment on RoboCut CiB-Series EDMs ensure accurate, straight parts. RoboCut CiB-Series EDMs are built 100 percent in Japan.

(Wufeng, Taiwan) to distribute their high quality, cost-effective EDM Drills that range from easy-to-use manual machines to fully programmable 5-axis machines capable of machining complex aerospace parts. Ocean EDM Drills have a proprietary HP1+ power supply for significantly reduced wear and shorter burn times while reducing energy consumption. The capabilities of these competitively-priced machines include an A/ B axis tilt/ turn table for patented break-thru detection, a reliable electrode changer and drilling of fine holes from 0.004 in to 0.25 in, even in spherical and curved workpieces, on materials such as hard alloy steels to powder metallurgy materials. E-Learning software allows new operators to easily run the machines or seasoned operators to review processes on the fly. These EDM Drills can perform high-speed, low wear burning of holes in 4 in tall Inconel rods and in 1 in thick steel plates.

For multi-cavity programmable drilling, the mid-size River 600 CNC has CAM programming software that utilizes TCP for accurate and easy program generation for complex 5-axis workpieces. The compact, entry-level River 300 features high-efficiency linear guideways and a 100L DI/Filter that comes standard. The X-axis travel measures 11.8 in (300 mm), Y-axis at 7.9 in (200 mm), Z-axis at 11.8 in (300 mm) and W-axis at 13.8 in (350 mm). Table dimensions are 13.8 in x 9.9 in (350 mm x 250 mm). Maximum workpiece height is 11.8 in (300 mm) with maximum workpiece weight capacity at 330 lb (150 kg).
