Designed to eliminate downtime and improve overall robot performance, the Zero Down Time (ZDT) system from FANUC continuously collects and analyzes data to track each robot’s overall health and maintenance requirements while running production, notifying users if action is required to prevent unexpected downtime so that they are free to focus on other responsibilities. Shops can use this information to optimize their overall maintenance costs and schedule the most critical tasks during planned maintenance windows.

Designed to eliminate downtime and enhance overall robot performance, the Zero Down Time (ZDT) Industrial IoT system from FANUC America Corporation (Rochester Hills, MI) helps shops maintain consistent production uptime and reduce costs for a competitive advantage. While FANUC robots are highly reliable, multiple ZDT Analytics can verify the health of each connected robot to further maximize uptime. The system continuously collects and analyzes data to track each robot’s overall health and maintenance requirements while running production, notifying users if action is required to prevent unexpected downtime so that they are free to focus on other responsibilities. ZDT analyzes robot data to identify required maintenance tasks based on actual robot usage. Shops can use this information to optimize their overall maintenance costs and schedule the most critical tasks during planned maintenance windows.

Users access a dedicated, customer-specific ZDT web portal for information about their protected robots from anywhere in the world. They can see robot details at each of their locations, view analytic results, check robot health, maintenance status, and more. For internet security, FANUC partners with Cisco® Systems, Inc. (San Jose, CA) to protect all data and ensure that all information collected from robots is kept secure in transmission and at rest.
