In Booth D-47228, IP Automation Inc. (West Chicago, IL) will exhibiting their latest i13-S CNC Wire Forming Machine, a fully electric 3D CNC wire bending machine capable of bending wire up to ½ in (13 mm) and certain tubing up to 5/8 in (16 mm). Six servo axes provide quiet, efficient operation, and its optional 7th-axis provides a traversing feeder and straightener to ensure wire straightness and repeatability of wire and tube forming from coil. It’s fully sealed construction ensures little maintenance and the use of the latest servo drive technology optimizes power usage with a regenerative power system. The software is built from the ground up using the latest OPC-UA platform and capable of seamlessly integrating into any factory information system. This machine is equipped with a 21 in industrial multi-touch screen with an intuitive user interface that requires minimal operator training and uses standard length, rotation and bend angle programming.
The modular software and machine construction are easily integrated into IP Automation’s wide variety of standard secondary operations, including welding, chamfering, threading, machining, coining, stress relieving, nylon coating and all of their wire product assembly systems. A tour of the IP Automation facility and demonstration of a few fully-automated wire product automation cells will be available as well.
