FABTECH 2019 is North America’s largest collaboration of technology, equipment and knowledge in the metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing industry. This event takes place November 11-14 at the McCormick Place in Chicago, where more than 1,700 exhibitors and 48,000 attendees will have full access to special events, presentations, educational sessions and live demonstrations of the latest technology and integrated solutions, along with one-on-one exchanges with exhibitors and networking with industry leaders. There will also be opportunities to attend keynote presentations, discussions on key industry issues that influence manufacturing, and more. Here are some of the additive manufacturing systems that will be exhibited to help you navigate the show floor and manage your time while you’re there:
Mobile Laser Welding for Very Large Molds and More
Moved into place beside pressing tools, large molds or machine components that must be welded, the ALFlak Max Laser Welding System from Alpha Laser uses a 9 ft long laser arm for significantly large movement radius and added flexibility.
Next Generation Large-Format 3D Printing
The workhorse STUDIO G2 large-format 3D printer from BigRep provides unmatched speed and quality in large-format additive manufacturing of premium objects using abrasive engineering-grade materials.
How Shops Can Connect to Their Machines and With Their People
ShiftWorx API and Narrative 2 applications from FreePoint capture more uptime and downtime information empirically on the plant floor, then connect the data to ERP more effectively using AI or other advanced analysis.
Going the Extra Step in Production Metal 3D Printing
Protolabs launches new production capabilities for their metal 3D printing service that use secondary processes to improve the strength, dimensional accuracy and cosmetic appearance of metal parts.
Open, Industrial PC-Based CNC for Metal Fabrication
The Sinumerik MC controller from Siemens is ideal for metal fabrication, specialty machines, additive manufacturing, plate cutting, grinding, laser or waterjet cutting, and more.
