FABTECH 2019: Metalform (Part Two)

Here are some more of the metalforming tools, machinery and systems that will be exhibited to help you navigate the show floor and manage your time while you’re there.

Booth D-46071: The breakthrough High Pressure Warm Forming process from Quintus combines high pressure with a moderately-elevated temperature for more rapid, cost effective and precise forming of Ti-6Al-4V titanium parts used in aerospace, medical, marine and other applications for high strength, light weight, formability and high corrosion resistance. HPWF removes barriers to fabrication that previously limited the use of Ti-6Al-4V to specialty applications due to the high cost of current forming methods.

FABTECH 2019 is North America’s largest collaboration of technology, equipment and knowledge in the metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing industry. This event takes place November 11-14 at the McCormick Place in Chicago, where more than 1,700 exhibitors and 48,000 attendees will have full access to special events, presentations, educational sessions and live demonstrations of the latest technology and integrated solutions, along with one-on-one exchanges with exhibitors and networking with industry leaders. There will also be opportunities to attend keynote presentations, discussions on key industry issues that influence manufacturing, and more. Here are some more of the metalforming tools, machinery and systems that will be exhibited to help you navigate the show floor and manage your time while you’re there:

New Advances in Servo Press Stamping Operations
Exclusive Allen-Bradley-based servo press controls combine with the new DSF-C1(A) series direct-drive gap frame servo press from AIDA-America to maximize stamping productivity and profit in the press room.

How to Get Smart with Fluid Application for Metal Forming
The SmartFlow controller from Unist provides advanced press control integration, fluid usage tracking, process monitoring, and enhanced diagnostic and maintenance tools to keep the press line running productively with the right amount of lubrication.

How to Eliminate the Need for Spot Welding and Riveting
One simple, high-cycle punch and die operation automatically feeds, punches, inserts and locks the self-piercing FAS-NER from AKH to produce a solid joint in similar or dissimilar metals and thicknesses.

Corrosion Inhibitor Packaging Protects Metal Parts
VCI films and bubble bags from Daubert Cromwell protect steel, aluminum, copper and other metal parts from rust and shipping damage.

Mechanical and Servo Style In-Die Tapping Heads
In-die tapping head technology from Hutchison Tool provides a tapping range from #2-56 to 1-1/4-12 or metric M2 to M30 that run in press strokes from 3 in to 20 in.

Removing Barriers in High Pressure Fabrication
High Pressure Warm Forming technology and Hot Isostatic Press systems from Quintus emerge as cost effective approaches to forming Ti-6Al-4V titanium and streamlined post processing for leaner AM operations.

Precision Mechanical and Hydraulic Presses
Hammer Presses by EDPS builds and installs mechanical and hydraulic power presses for all types of metal forming applications, along with a full line of press room accessories, preventative maintenance programs and 24/7 support.

In-Die Tapping of AHSS Material and More
Jarvis Cutting Tools works directly with machine builders to develop exclusive high-performance taps that address current and future production requirements.

Cutting-Edge Forming Technologies
TwinServo press technology and the economic production of composite parts from Schuler enable press rooms to produce resources more efficiently so they can remain marketable and competitive.

How to Increase Productivity and Efficiency in Production Stamping
The Fibro Electronic Tapping Unit and the Wireless Pressure Monitoring from Fibro enables production stampers to add value, increase throughput and improve operational efficiency.
