In Booth B-16079, Brush Research Manufacturing Co., Inc. (Los Angeles, CA) will feature a full range of unique finishing and deburring tools. Their Nampower™ abrasive disc brushes contain a unique combination of ceramic and silicon carbide filament that produces maximum burr removal rates while providing an ideal surface finish at the same time. The discs are manufactured using a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic base that results in less vibration and greater process repeatability. A professional-grade tool holder provides the added advantage of lubrication from the inside of the brush to greatly improve tool life and cutting action. The brushes are available in two different styles: Dot Style for general purpose deburring and surface finish applications, and Turbine Style for medium and heavy deburring applications. These brushes are available in six different diameters to cover a broad range of finishing applications. These high-performance tools create reliable, consistent and cost effective results. Nampower disc brushes are easily integrated into automated machinery, CNC machining centers, transfer lines and robotic cells.
Also on display is their new Flex-Hone Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) abrasive for difficult-to-finish materials, such as high nickel alloy steels. CBN combines the highest hardness with excellent toughness to provide the optimum surface finish in materials like Monel, Inconel, Incoloy, Hasteloy, Invar and Rene. Flex-Honing is a low pressure, low-temperature abrasive finishing process that is ideal for finishing these tough materials. The tool reduces the work-hardened layer produced by machining operations without imparting thermally-induced distortion. The resulting surface is less prone to oxidation and stress-induced cracking. Sizes from 4 mm to 20 mm are standard in three different mesh sizes. Additional diameters and mesh selections are available on special order. Other specialty abrasives include Diamond and Ceramic.
